Yoga is For Everyone
What is Yoga? Yoga is a Sanskrit word which means to integrate, unite, or join. In yoga, by using our breath, mind and body, we bring our attention fully into the present moment. This presence enables awareness and a union of mind, body and spirit. This awareness and union is the purpose of yoga. Everything we practice on the mat, we can take into our daily lives. In this way, yoga is a lifelong journey of learning and personal growth. It becomes a way of living.
People come to yoga for many reasons – to improve fitness, lose weight, develop muscle tone, lower stress, improve health and wellbeing, and increase flexibility. Yoga does more than merely exercise the body; it exercises all of you – or what has become known as your mind-body. It quickly changes your physical and mental capacity while preparing your mind and body for long-term transformative health.
