Yoga Benefits Teacher
Paul Chambers, Studio Owner
Paul Chambers infuses his life and teaching with devotion to yoga, gratitude and love. He is a dedicated yoga practitioner with a passion for sharing this ancient science with others. Paul gives clear and focused instruction to students while encouraging exploration of the poses and the nature of breath. His classes are fun and uplifting, working intelligently with the body to safely guide his students through yoga Asana (postures) and Pranayama (Controlled Breathing). Paul translates the awareness of breath and movement into a graceful and transformative experience for his students.
When Paul discovered the transformative nature of yoga, he immediately incorporated it into his daily schedule. This immersion has given him a deep understanding of yoga’s many aspects. Paul has completed the Yoga Alliance 200 and 500 hour trainings. Continuing on with studies, he was then awarded with Centered Yoga’s 1100 hour Distinguished Advanced-Level Teacher certificate, under the tutelage of Paul Dallaghan, a highly respected senior yoga teacher and founder of Samahita Retreat (Centered Yoga) in Thailand. He has currently completed over 2000 hours of training and sincerely continues daily with his studies.
Paul has spent months in India at Kaivalyadhama Yoga Research Centre studying and practicing Classical Pranayama as described in the Hathapradipika. After being introduced to pranayama master Sri O.P Tiwari, Paul completed Advanced Studies and Teacher Training in Classical Pranayama under his guidance. Other influences include, completing Richard Freeman’s one month teachers intensive in Boulder Colorado along with Mary Taylor. Chuck Miller, Simon Low and Tan Meddhi (Thai Forest Tradition) have also been influential.
Understanding the importance of nutrition to health and healing, Paul studied Holistic Nutrition. In 2013, he qualified as a Health Coach from South West Institute of Healing Arts. Paul would ultimately like to integrate nutrition and wellness with yoga for students who would like a more holistic teaching. Paul also completed the Hoffman Quadrinity Process, integrating the four aspects of Self: spirit, intellect, emotion and body.
Paul’s yoga and meditation studies with respected teachers over the years have provided him with many perspectives from which to draw when communicating yoga with others. Currently based on the Gold Coast Queensland, Australia, Paul gives classes and workshops at his yoga studio in Miami. He continues to assist as a yoga teacher with Paul Dallaghan, at the teacher training intensives at Samahita Retreat in Koh Samui, Thailand each year.
